Italy Pics!
High above the village of Vernazza, one of the five villages which make up Cinque Terre. The hike through the cliffs took about 7 hours (counting stops in each village)
The cliffs of Cinque Terre. En route to one of the villages in the distance.
At the top of Anacapri, one of the two cities on the island of Capri. Yes, my hair is getting long.
The town of Positano. The photo was taken from a boat in the Mediterranean.
Amalfi at night. We used the town of Amalfi as a base and took daytrips to Capri, Sorrento, Positano and Pompeii.
Chilling by the grotto in Amalfi.
Pompeii with Mt. Vesuvius looming in the background.
Mt. Vesuvius from the top of the volcano.
Hanging out with Julius Caesar. I am now a regular at the Julius Caesar Pub in Rome.
Chad hanging at the JC Pub with Fred and Bobby, our very cool roomates in Rome. I think it is fair to say that we are all enjoying the nightlife in Rome.
A truly North American photo taken from the hostel bar in Rome - Mexico, Canada and U.S. all represented.
At the Colliseum which was built almost 2000 yrs ago. Really.
Present day Roman gladiator.
Vatican City. It is too bad they do not let you take photos of the Sistine Chapel but we had a great tour of the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel left me in awe. It took 4 yrs for Michelangelo to paint the ceiling.
