Happy New Year's -- from Thailand...

Happy New Year! My first post in 2008 and almost excatly four months to the day I took off for this trip (and also the halfway point of my trip). Just wanted to update everyone on my whereabouts since I have not posted in awhile. I've spent the last two weeks in Thailand. We went to Ko Tau and Ko Phangan for Christmas and New Year's. They are two very Westernized islands off of Thailand and Ko Phangnan is widely known for its full moon parties on the beach. The parties certainly lived up to their reputation and that is where Chad and I rang in the New Year. I am now in Chang Mai, a very cool city in Northern Thailand, and am getting ready for a three day trek in the mountains. It's going to be a big change of weather up there but should be a lot of fun. I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2008 and I will try and stay in touch as best I can until I get back in May...
